The Lie of the Timeline

You think you are behind. You think there is a correct schedule for human development and you missed it.

Not true.

The conventional timeline is a story told by people who need you to compete in their game. Career by 25. House by 30. Peak earning by 40. This is not a law of nature. This is an agreement you never signed but have been honoring anyway.

Here is what actually happened: While everyone else was sprinting up ladders, you were staring at the ladders themselves. You were asking questions that slow people down. “Why this ladder? Why not a different wall entirely?” This made you look scattered. Confused. Behind.

You were not behind. You were building a root system.

The bamboo tree spends five years underground. To the observer, nothing is happening. The tree looks like it is failing to grow. Then in year six, it shoots eighty feet into the air in six weeks. It did not grow eighty feet in six weeks. It grew eighty feet in five years. You cannot see roots. That does not mean they are not there.

You spent decades dismantling ways of thinking that did not fit you.

You had to fail at being normal so you could succeed at being yourself.

Those years were not wasted. They were preparation for what you are about to become in the second half of your life.

The Dream we are living in worships the fast achiever. But the Dream is not reality. Reality is Mind expressing itself through form. And some “forms” require longer preparation time. You are not a calculator. You are complex software. Your boot-up time is longer by design.

So, stop apologizing for your timeline. You are not behind. You are exactly where a deep root system would be before it breaks through the surface. Stop judging the timeline. Trust the preparation.
