You are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment

In my coaching with clients we often get to this:

You are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment”

And, this is hard for people to get their heads (or hearts) around.

Maybe you, too, find yourself in circumstances you don’t want to be in. Still the same holds true: You are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment.

The first step to letting go of resistance and suffering is to acknowledge that you are where you are, and you cannot be anywhere else at this very moment. That’s called acceptance.

Once you move into acceptance, there’s a lot of energy that’s freed up – and you get to feel a new feeling of inner peace as it relates to the present moment. The “fighting” stops.

But then the question is: “If I keep accepting that I am meant to be exactly where I am in every present moment how will things ever change for me?”

And, that’s a very legit question.

The answer is this. Your natural tendency is to always grow and expand, to move away from resistance and towards more freedom.

You will never stay where you are. You can’t. You will always be guided towards what’s best for your own soul’s journey…

…and what’s on this journey is oftentimes DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOU WANT!

You don’t know what’s best for you at this higher level. You must learn to trust that what’s happening and what you are guided to is exactly what’s meant for you.

Again – not necessarily what you want – but exactly what you NEED!

That’s why you are exactly where you are meant to be in every moment.

So… you can WANT for things to be different now (they can’t be because they aren’t!). Or you can trust your capacity to handle what IS… and all of it.

The main point is this: You cannot fight your reality in the present moment – and win. Accepting your reality AS IT IS frees you up to move on to what’s next for you – without resistance and with lightness.

As Byron Katie said: “When you argue with reality, you lose — but only 100% of the time.”

If you internalize this the quality of your life will change instantly – and dramatically.
