Who and what you know as YOU is not who you truly are

Your limited YOU and your real YOU

Who and what you know as YOU is not who you truly are.

Let me explain…

You have a body and a mind (don’t lose me here!).

Your body was created at conception. That’ your vehicle, your equipment. Think of it as the computer – the hardware.

Your mind is a container that was empty when your physical body was created. This container started filling up around the age of 2 and after. You can think of the contents of your mind as the software – the operating system.

This is where it gets interesting…

Most of the contents of your mind were installed as you were going through experiences that you as a young human being couldn’t explain. You can think of these pieces of emotional learning as the “applications”.

These “apps” were “coded” when you gave meaning to what was happening and then made some critical decisions about what this meant about who you are. You had to do this to survive and adapt to/normalize what was happening.

Some of these critical decisions could have been: I’m not enough, I’m not lovable, I’m not safe, I don’t matter, I’m not wanted.

You wouldn’t remember this now, but it happened to one degree or another. It happened to most of us – including me.

It was inevitable – we did what we had to survive around caregivers who didn’t know how to keep our inborn authenticity intact and who unknowingly made us trade this authenticity up for survival, and the care and love that they represented.

The point is, what you’ve been calling I, ME, and MYSELF is everything you learned by experience or directly inherited from your caregivers. It’s not yours. And it’s not who you truly are.

Here’s how this works:

If you are living in an inner world of “I’m not enough” or “I’m not worthy of love” or “I don’t matter” or “I’m not safe” you will have to create the circumstances that match your inner world.

And, your outer world will always have to be consistent with your inner world. You literally create the evidence that supports what you believe about yourself.

Your early experiences have shaped and are shaping who you are today.

The good news is… once you truly understand this how you see the world will begin to change – and from there, your reality and circumstance will begin to change too.

All you need to do is to create a clear separation in your mind about who you have always thought you are and who you truly are.

Here’s how:

Do you remember the analogy from above: your body = hardware, the contents of your mind = operating system.

The limited perspectives from which you’ve been unconsciously living your life for decades (I’m not enough, I’m not lovable, etc) are…

…ONLY A FEW OLD APPLICATIONS that are running inside of your operating system (your mind)

And, what you’ve come to know as yourself is entirely based on these few old applications.

But, you are not the applications – they were installed early in your childhood, and they are founded on inadequacy, insecurity, and scarcity.

You are not the operating system either – it didn’t have any applications when you were born.

You are not even your body – that’s only the computer, the equipment, the hardware where the operating system exists.

You are much more than that…

You are the ELECTRICITY! Pure essence!

And, that’s indestructible and unchangeable.

If you could really get that – almost your entire life what you’ve been calling I and ME has largely been defined by the programs that were created from a need to survive your environment.

I truly hope that you got a glimpse of your REAL YOU, not what you’ve known as YOU all this time.

You are not the limited stories. You are who and what you were BEFORE them!

That’s who you truly are!

Much love –

Ivan
